For the past 15 years, we have been focusing on portraying the migrant farmworker, drawing from our family's farming history and our deep appreciation for natural resources, particularly crops. Rather than merely telling stories, we aim to honor the individuals who often remain invisible to many and bring awareness about the dehumanization of the food chain.
We bring connections between urban and rural landscapes through the poetic use of colors and forms.
Immigration was already at the forefront when we started our migration series in 2010. We have witnessed various positive reactions from the public regarding our migration series, particularly when we exhibit our work in universities. Students are intrigued, asking many questions, and an open dialogue starts to unfold; these experiences are enriching.
